With a winning blend of norteño and rock styles, the Mexican Latin pop band Camila has been popular at home, in South and North America, and in the Caribbean since 2006.
∙ Camila’s debut single, “Abrázame,” was released in 2006 and became a Platinum-certified hit in Mexico.
∙ Issued in 2006, Camila’s first album, Todo Cambió, was a No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart and sold more than a million copies in the US.
∙ Saxophonist Kenny G recruited Camila to guest on the track “Es Hora de Decir” on his 2008 Rhythm & Romance album.
∙ In 2010, Camila won three Latin Grammy Awards: Record of the Year and Song of the Year, for the smash hit “Mientes,” and Best Pop Album, for their sophomore LP, Dejarte de Amar.
∙ Elypse, Camila’s third LP, received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Latin Pop Album in 2014.
∙ The group participated in the 2020 RESISTRÉ MÉXICO “Resisitré” charity single for domestic COVID-19 relief, along with Ximena Sariñana, Kinky, Lila Downs, and other stars.
