Vocaloid producer DECO*27 was inspired by his father to learn acoustic guitar, but he switched to electric after becoming a fan of blink-182 and Green Day.
∙ DECO*27’s debut song, “Boku Mitaina Kimi, Kimi Mitaina Boku,” featured Vocaloid singer Hatsune Miku and took inspiration from Japanese rock music.
∙ DECO*27 honored his preferred Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku, by contributing the song “HIBANA” to Re:Start, an album commemorating the 10th anniversary of the vocal icon.
∙ DECO*27 has also written songs for J-pop trio Buono! and played in the groups LOVE LASTS FOREVER and galaxias!.
∙ In a nod to his love for the food, a special edition of DECO*27’s album Ghost came packaged in a case shaped like a pizza box. Napkins were included.
∙ In 2018, DECO*27 formed a production company called OTOIRO, which brings together producers, designers, illustrators, and video directors.
