In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember writing my first song on my dad's old, beat up classical guitar that he kept at our old cottage. I was only 15 years old and was going through my first heartbreak. This was how I learned that writing music is great outlet for my emotions.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Who, Live At Leeds (Remastered) The Who, Who's Next Van Halen, OU812 The reason why I wanted to play the electric guitar was from listening to the power and energy on Live At Leeds by The Who. I wanted to be able to make a guitar sound like that; Van Halen had the same energy! Who's Next is the best album of all time.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Take Me Home” This song was inspired by my baby girl before she was even born. I was hoping she would give me a new, positive outlook on life and help me to be more grounded; to take me home. The song is both powerful and emotional, accentuated by the sweet cello.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I released my Awakening album in 2004, the title song Awakening was in regular rotation on one of our city's largest FM radio stations. I would be driving home in my car and would hear my song! It made the top 100 most popular songs that year.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I feel very fortunate for all my personal successes as an artist. I have had songs in some local countdowns; however, I would love to have one of my songs attain some kind of national or international success, either recorded by me or another artist.
