In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Since I was just a baby, my dad would bring me to the studio, and I’d fall asleep in my little car seat to the sound of his beats. I’ve literally been surrounded by music my whole life. It’s always been the world I live in.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Maverick City Music, Maverick City, Vol. 1 SZA, Ctrl Sam Smith, In the Lonely Hour These albums made me feel so seen and validated. Sam and SZA’s raw vulnerability mirrored my own feelings in those seasons of life, while Maverick voiced the prayers and emotions I couldn’t articulate. Each one moved me deeply.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “SMOOTH TALKER” This song feels like my first real career breakthrough. It’s special because I poured my heart into it, blending all my influences into something that’s truly mine. The song is fun, laid-back, and forever my child.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Hearing how my music touches others lives is the most memorable because it's the reason I do what I do, to love others through art and emotion.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd like to sell out The Hollywood Bowl, The Ford Theater, Madison Square Garden, and Wembly Stadium.
