Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Waking up on weekend mornings to the music of Fela Kuti playing loudly in my mom's apartment. The records would play all day long. My dynamic melodic sensibilities were shaped by those records.

Born to Do It (Craig David) taught me smooth can still hit hard. The Human Condition (Jon Bellion) Honest songwriting connects deeper. Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps (Fireboy) proof that the sound I engineered with Trybesmen lives on in Afrobeats.

“Always”
I wrote 'Always' the week my daughter was born, when I was still figuring out how to be a father. Every time I hear it now, I'm back in that hospital in Sutton England, overwhelmed and certain about one thing, I'd do anything for her.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Hearing my own record on the radio for the first time in 1996. Nothing since has matched that feeling, not because the wins after got smaller, but because that one was the first proof it was actually real.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I'm not a bucket list kinda guy. I've lived a privileged life and gotten to do pretty much everything I set out to do so far. I value the freedom to move on my own terms so I'm less chasing new things and more about making every passing moment count.
