Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first time my Dad sat me down and played Queen live at Wembley as a young teenager. Freddie Mercury became my hero and to this day Queen remains my favourite band.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jeff Buckley, Grace Queen, A Kind of Magic Deluxe Edition The Mayfield Four, Second Skin I love singers who push the limits not only technically but also emotionally. Combine that with amazing Musicality and songs. I love Tenors vocalists who leave nothing in the tank. But also offer that sweetness and soul to there vocal performances.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Send Me Up” My debut single and a tribute to My late Nana. I wanted to write something that had a sense of religiosity. Her passion for worship was very grounding and inspirational. It got me thinking about my own ideas around faith and Send Me Up was born.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing a home town gig in Taranaki New Zealand at the TSB showplace theatre. Performing songs by Led Zeppelin in front of my extended family at such an amazing venue was a thrilling and humbling experience.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Continue to create and document my artistry to build a catalog I can look back on with pride. Develop my live show and start to express myself more in the social networking side of music.
