In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started off as a classically trained vocalist in the NW opera scene. One of my earliest musical memories was performing in my first production, "A Sound Of Music," where I started the foundation of my love of performing.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kacey Musgraves, Golden Hour Pretenders, Learning to Crawl (Expanded Edition) 2007 Remaster R.E.M., Out of Time 2016 Remaster These three albums all encompass what I love about music: quality songwriting that tells a story, memorable guitar riffs, and iconic vocal melodies. I must have listened to these albums front-to-back at least fifty times a piece.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sweet Release” I absolutely love this song that I co-wrote with my friend, Amber Sweeney. I wanted to write just a girl-power, swagger filled song that all my friends could sing along with.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first album release party, which we just about sold out. Opening the Gorge Amphitheater for Brandi Carlile. Recording my new album in Los Angeles and cowriting with Battleme.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would absolutely love to tour overseas in Europe. I think there is something really special about the music culture there and I'd love to experience it.
