Harmeet Singh is known to like a bit of wordplay. After all, the Punjabi music producer and audio engineer records under the name MixSingh. Beginning his career as DJ Harry, the Mohali-based beatsmith adopted his punny moniker before releasing his debut album, the EDM-centric Mix It Up, in 2014. MixSingh then started crafting cuts across pop, folk and hip-hop, and he’s been helming songs for a range of established acts—including Savi Kahlon, Parmish Verma and Maninder Buttar—ever since. Simultaneously, he’s kept a focused eye on incubating the next generation of Punjabi music stars by recording their tunes at and putting them out through his Mix It Up Studio. The fastest rising of these is singer-songwriter Juss, whose 2024 single “Suniyan Suniyan” became the most streamed track of MixSingh’s discography to date.
