Belgian DJ and producer Netsky is a leader of the liquid drum ‘n’ bass style. He’s renowned for his ability to produce both hard-hitting club tracks and radio-friendly pop singles.
• Born Boris Daenen, Netsky took up the drums when he was five and started experimenting with beat-making software when he was 13. He got the name Netsky from a Windows computer virus.
• The young producer dropped his self-titled debut album in 2009. The funky, fast-paced LP made numerous Belgian charts and cracked the Top 10 of the UK dance charts.
• His 2012 sophomore album, 2, topped the charts in Belgium and went Top 30 on the UK pop charts.
• Featuring guests like Chromeo, Emeli Sande, and Digital Farm Animals, Netsky’s 2016 third album, III, made the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums.
• By 2017, Netsky had moved on from the D’n’B formula and begun releasing dance-pop and house-inspired songs in collaboration with Lost Frequencies, David Guetta, and others.
• “I Don’t Even Know You Anymore,” Netsky’s 2019 single featuring Bazzi and Lil Wayne, peaked inside the Top 30 of Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
• Netsky returned to his roots with his upbeat and melodic D’n’B-based fourth album, 2020’s Second Nature
• He’s also a prolific remixer who’s reworked tracks for Miike Snow, Underworld, Pendulum, Rusko, Skream, Madeon, Ed Sheeran, and Dua Lipa, among others.
