Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember vividly the radio on the school bus my first day of school. I was mesmerized by The Sweet, Three Dog Night, and T. Rex. It's funny how our most vivid memories almost all have a song.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Animus Undone” Animus Undone is my wish for an end to division. I like to think of it as the sound of reason traveling through multiple competing themes. The sound faces many distortions, but keeps the ability to rise above the noise and find the truth.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I once played a set on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The steel beach picnic was memorable to both my naval and music careers.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I love learning and growing, so my bucket is always full. There is always something new around the next corner. I think the pinnacle of my bucket list is to share a connection with people.
