Taking their cues from 1970s punk, Runaways-influenced hard rock, and North Mississippi blues, the River City Tanlines formed from the ashes of several local bands in Memphis, Tennessee. The band's synthesis of punky blues and garage rock found a devoted audience in Memphis, and the River City Tanlines captured their craft on their 2005 self-titled full-length, followed a year later by I'm Your Negative. Singer/guitarist Alicja Trout's duties running Contaminated Records and playing in Black Sunday and Mouserocket prevailed over the next few years, as third album Coast to Coast arrived in summer 2012. ~ Andrew Leahey
