Los Angeles-based electronic alchemist Robert DeLong mixes dance music with his own singer/songwriter style of pop craftsmanship. Utilizing MIDI interfaces and mixing live while he performs, DeLong plays keyboards, drum pads, drum set, laptops, and even gaming controllers to create his songs. Meanwhile, his lyrics and melodic sense often borrow from more classic pop influences. He debuted on the Billboard dance charts with his first full-length release, 2013's Just Movement, and reached the Top Ten of the Heatseekers chart with 2015's In the Cards. Along with collaborations with artists like K.Flay, Ashe, and Lights, DeLong has continued to evolve the sonic textures and emotional depth of his work, as on 2018's See You in the Future, 2021's Walk Like Me, and 2024's Playlist of Doom.
