Sofia Carson is a Colombian-American pop singer and actress who broke out after portraying lead character Evie in the Disney Descendants teen musical trilogy.
∙ She performed on several tracks from 2015’s chart-topping Descendants soundtrack, including the Gold-certified “Rotten to the Core,” which made the Billboard Hot 100.
∙ Reggaetón superstar J Balvin guested on the remix of her debut single, 2016’s “Love Is the Name,” which landed in the Top 40 of Billboard’s Latin Pop Airplay chart.
∙ Norwegian EDM producer Alan Walker tapped her for the Platinum-certified climate change anthem “Different World,” which appeared on his 2018 hit album of the same name.
∙ Carson’s portrayal of fashionista Ava Jalali in the TV thriller Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists earned her a Teen Choice Award nomination in 2019.
