An accomplished guitarist and producer, Will Ackerman is best known as the founder of Windham Hill Records, a hugely successful label dealing in acoustic, folk, and ambient music that helped launch the careers of George Winston, Alex de Grassi, and Liz Story, among others. Debuting in 1976 with The Search for the Turtle's Navel, Ackerman has issued dozens of albums over the years -- including 1998's Imaginary Roads, 2008's Meditations, and 2017's Flow -- that deftly combine elements of jazz, new acoustic, and pop.
