Formed in 2008 by ex-Tracktor Bowling members Lousine Gevorkian and Vitaly Demidenko, Louna set the stage for a series of supercharged, anti-establishment releases with their 2010 debut LP, Let's Get Louder (later rereleased in English as Behind a Mask). After selling out shows across Russia, the Moscow five-piece toured the U.S. with The Pretty Reckless, and their grungy and cathartic sound inspired fearsome headbanging stateside. Gevorkian's gravelly vocals is well-suited to deliver the band's sharp lyrics, while their blazing hard rock channels a liberating power.
