Artistic accomplices as well as domestic partners, guitarist Teo Cardalda and singer María Monsonis formed Cómplices in 1987, and the duo have been recording intermittently ever since. Like a Galician Fleetwood Mac, Cómplices reveal the real intimacies of their long relationship through power balladry bolstered by loud guitars, big drums and super-sized synth lines. Social awareness comes into play as well, their role as parents reflected in fanciful yet politically pointed songs that imagine a world made safe for children and other living things.
