Armed with classic jazz techniques yet ready to take over pop, Emilie Nicolas stepped into the spotlight with 2014 debut Like I’m a Warrior. Earning her two prestigious Norwegian Grammy Awards, the work is an emotional roller coaster strewn with winding vox, ethereal textures and punchy synths. Later releases as well as collabs with the likes of Hanne Hukkelberg saw her embrace R&B and alternative stylings.
