Propelled by decades of hardcore punk fury, OFF!'s buzzsaw riffs and searing wails have pummeled legions of moshing fans since its inception in 2009. Circle Jerks singer, Keith Morris, and Burning Brides’ frontman, Dimitri Coats, started the project in Los Angeles, stitched together from sessions for a new Circle Jerks LP that was ultimately scrapped. OFF! debuted the following year at SXSW and released a string of EPs that established its short, lightning-fast eviscerations, which were later compiled into a 16-track box set titled First Four EPs. Though its influential punk pedigree dates back to the ‘80s, albums such as 2022’s Free LSD have proven the flames of California hardcore can still melt one’s face off.
