Letra
The ground beneath my feet
I know was made for me
There is no any one place where I belong.
My spirit's meant to be free
And soon now everyone will see
Life was made for us to be what we wanna be.
It's your world
and yours and yours and yours
and what you see
was not meant for me.
It's your world
but you don't have to be lonely
'cause in your world,
You are truly free.
The thoughts that fill my mind
are a very special kind
because they're home to me and me alone.
But then I realize
that we all have a home inside
that was made for us to be what we wanna be!
Music of life it fills my soul
music of love makes me feel whole
as human history unfolds before my eyes.
My spirit's meant to be free
and soon now everyone's will be!
It's your right to be whatever you wanna be!
You are truly free
to be what you wanna be!
You are truly free!
It's your world
It's your world
It's your world
It's your world
(be what you wanna be)
It's your world
It's your world
It's your world
(be what you wanna be)
It's your world
It's your world
It's your world.
It's your world!
Who pulled the wool over your eyes?
Who lied and said the skies were the limit
Our spirits are infinite
when the world watches, soul is what's exhibited
the intention is to reset the cores,
the cores that comes with resistance
can't grow without pain.
Muscles don't gain without tension.
We stay 10 toes down in the trenches
we get up, hop fences, jump star gates
we get together just so we can stargaze HEYYYY
The spark we generate even leaves the stars amazed
our waves, wade through the mud and the maze
the system was built cause they meant for us to stay in our place and behave
to conform
we've been warned of a cold cold world,
but our light is so warm
love is a suit of armor that's worn
We are the light, we are the light
We are the right that's been wrong.
Look at the rhythm we walk when we are God's song .
We are the gospel and the good book.
We are the good omen
We are the ones that have been chosen.
We've been lost in the wilderness roaming.
But this space in time we own it,
Know it, face it
This cycle we in
we have to break it so we can begin again.
We get up and dance to break the trance that we in
wake up wake up wake UP!
Enough of the slump and the slumber
hear these words feel my hunger, my passion
I'm merely a vessel, this is really the Ancestors asking
what you gonna do about it. What we gonna do about it
it's your world so shout it don't doubt it
Mouth it so the masses understand.
This is a test and so far we ain't passing the exam
But Damn,
we got time
we got now
we got each other
so we got how
we know why
we've been baptized in our tears - time for that pool to dry
so we can be replenished.
It's a mountain of marathons but we ain't finished , we just getting started.
We planted our seeds now it's time for the harvest.
You don't have to look around to know that we've had the hardest
on top of that. We've been asked to show love to the heartless,
regardless
the mission is clear
we just have to do away with the fear and dysfunction.
This ain't a poem. This is a discussion
a luncheon
It's food for thought that I'm serving
Some healing for the centuries of hurting
A reminder of all those souls who knew that we were deserving
who fought and died
just so we could get it right and realize
that the world is yours the world is mine
When we close our eyes
we have to remember to be righteous
and refined
we have to rewire the mind
tap into the source
reroute the timeline,
and know
and know
And KNOW
the world is yours.
The world is mine.
The world is yours.
The world is mine, the world,
the whole world,
the world. is
yours.
