About Beggars Banquet Records
Born from a small London chain of independent record shops, Beggars Banquet launched as a label in 1977. Spurred by punk, its early successes with The Lurkers and Tubeway Army/Gary Numan helped kickstart a 30-year run that included releases by Biffy Clyro, The Charlatans, The Cult, The Fall, The Go-Betweens, The National, St. Vincent, and more.
