In the backyard I say a prayer for

All the little creatures, they thought I was their mother

Every day I make a wish on

All my lucky numbers, I see sequences and patterns

And with my diet coke, I take a heavy dose

It gets me really close

Like a baby smoking cigarettes

Or a lash against the cornea

You are abrasive and offensive

In the daytime I rationalize

In the nighttime, laying down
