Lyrics

I went on a quest to Ireland to see if I could find,
Those funny little creatures, who sure know how to hide.
I started in the morning and searched until the dawn.
I’ve looked behind the rainbow, no sign of leprechauns.
He’s a riddle man, pranks and jokes,
Four leaf clover and a pot o’ gold.
Crafty shoemaker, fairy or faun.
Hard to get bastard, leprechaun.
I’ve crossed the Emerald Isle, east, north, south and west.
I’ve turned every cobblestone and ploughed through the green green grass.
From the far Kilkenny Mountains all to Gallway town,
And even on the Isle of Aran no precious leprechaun.
He’s a riddle man, pranks and jokes,
Four leaf clover and a pot o’ gold.
Crafty shoemaker, fairy or faun.
Hard to get bastard, leprechaun.
My collection of the weird and wicked is almost complete,
My latest acquisition is a jar of demonseed,
I’ve got a nest of vampires right here in my backyard,
A werewolf and a unicorn, a golem and a dwarf.
And down in my basement I keep a wicked witch.
And a big part of Moby Dick is lying in my fridge.
There’s mummies, goblins, zombies walking on my lawn,
But the only thing that’s missing is that leprechaun.
He’s a riddle man, pranks and jokes,
Four leaf clover and a pot o’ gold.
Crafty shoemaker, fairy or faun.
Hard to get bastard, leprechaun.
Hard to get bastard, leprechaun
In the Temple Bar in Dublin, I gave up and I quit.
That little Irish joker was no more than a myth.
Heavily disappointed I drank ‘till it was dawn,
I ended up surrounded by a thousand leprechauns.
He’s a riddle man, pranks and jokes, (pranks and jokes)
Four leaf clover and a pot o’ gold. (a pot o’ what? Gold!)
Crafty shoemaker, fairy or faun. (a faun)
Hard to get bastard, leprechaun.
