Lyrics
I can’t
I bet you thought you had me this time
Your whispers in my ears were all lies
Little white lie you grow bigger over time
But I caught you slipping
I bet you thought you fooled me this time
It’s hard to see a lie in those eyes
Little white lie you get way too out of hand
I ain’t trippin
Cause I need that good, good lovin for my soul
I want that good, good loving that makes me whole
I want it bad bad bad bad bad
Bad bad bad
I want it bad bad bad
Oh so bad
I bet you thought you had me so blind
You only get to hurt me one time
And you did
Cause you could
But now you messed up
You won’t ever find somebody like me
I done opened up my heart
You let me bleed
But that’s okay because I’m free now
I finally found a love that makes me settle down
That’s why I’m always singing when you come around
I need that good, good lovin for my soul
I want that good, good loving that makes me whole
I want it bad bad bad bad bad
Bad bad bad
I want it bad bad bad
Oh so bad
I need it bad
You need it bad
We need it bad bad bad
I need it bad
You need it bad
We need it bad bad bad
I need that good, good lovin for my soul
I want that good, good loving that makes me whole
I want it
People aren't possessions.
We don't own them.
You cannot lose something that you don't own.
When I started to do my own work and understand that
I actually can't control whether someone stays or goes in my life.
And that's where this concept of learning to understand like,
It is a gift to have an individual walk with me, for however long, right?
A healthy individual, let me add that cavoite out there.
And so understanding that instead of looking at it, like you were like mine, and somehow for whatever reason, you now have left me in the dust
And instead I look at it like Man, that was a beautiful season that we had together.
I look at the beautiful things that I got out of that relationship.
And then I even look at the things that were sometimes bad
That like I needed to separate from that.
But instead of looking at it as this like woe is me thing
I'm more so looking at that like man.
This was a beautiful opportunity for me to choose myself and I'm glad I did that
