Just a House

There's a crack in the table from when we tried to make it a stage

And a worn out chair from watching too many football games

A countertop where I did my best to get straight A’s

The living room where we always said grace

I never thought that would change

With the back fence I tried to climb when I couldn't find the key

The driveway where I figured out love was more than a backseat

Where I first yelled at God cuz He wouldn’t answer me

It built me up piece by piece
