I fell asleep in the hatchback in my He-Man jumpsuit

We pulled over to get gas, I told her I wanted to sit up front

We had a dog named Chow-Chow in the front seat, we switched it up

Chow-Chow got in the hatchback, mama covered me up in blankets

I fell asleep listening to the radio and mama sang it

We flipped down a ravine and then back up on the street again

Chow-Chow flew out of the hatchback there and died on the highway

That alone was a miracle 'cause Chow-Chow was in my place

I walked away without a scratch on my face

Mama barely had bruises and what else can you say, but
