Underwater

Keeping my head underwater,

Waiting for days to go faster,

Putting my thoughts under-surface

So they won’t splash you,

So they won’t hurt you.

Swimming against every current,

Hoping you’re gonna stay,

Hoping you find your way,

And I’ll find mine.

Saying it hurts inside—

It hurts sometimes.
