Lyrics

The dripping of the ice wall, it creaks and cries
It has trouble sleeping
He screams out in pain at night
The mighty Ice Wall, which marks the traveler's end
Two miles tall, the cold mighty mountain
Puddles form beneath him, puddles the size of lakes
They grow wider and longer, and deeper each day
The ice wall is shrinking, a giant in old age
An old man awakening, leaving his tears beneath him
The ice wall cracks so loud sometimes, the earth shakes
Whooshes of floods let loose in the rivers
Washing forests away in the deluge
Entire sections of land, caught in his sadness
His icy bones are breaking from the heavyweight he's under
Deteriorating, summer by summer
The heat is his foe
Even the mighty ice wall is no match for the sun
And the sun, to the besieging cold
The mighty last long, but not forever
Soon all ice will be water
There will only be lakes left
In the deep trenches his weight created
The shimmering memory of his greatness
Of his insurmountability
