Lyrics

I grew up in ruins,
Neon skies and broken steel
Where the real world lost its meaning,
And escape became the deal
Buried in a sea of static,
Where the past still dares to breathe.
I found truth in ancient pixels,
And the ghosts they leave beneath.
Every glitch, a memory
Every level, prophecy
The lines between what’s fake and real
Are drawn in retro symphony.
I’m the echo in the code, the cipher in the stream
Born of fractured history and half-forgotten dreams
They tried to buy the soul of this artificial land
But I hold the keys they’ll never understand
I walk through worlds they left behind,
Archived in fading lore.
Where loyalty meant something,
And wonder opened doors
Their greed rewrote the language,
Turned stories into gold.
But I read between the silence,
Found rebellion in the old.
They see numbers, I see names
They play power, I play flame
They chase gods in circuitry
I chase meaning in the game
I’m the echo in the code, the whisper in the wires
A guardian of reverence they’ll never quite inspire
They chase control with every dollar in their hand
But I fight for something they don’t understand
This world was never just escape.
It’s a monument we made.
To joy, to pain, to how we hoped,
Before the light began to fade.
I’m not the strongest or the best,
But I remember why we came.
To be more than just a number,
In a corporate hunger game.
I’m the echo in the code, the keeper of the spark
The torch within the server farm, a rebel in the dark
And when they write the ending with profit in their plan
I’ll rewrite the story,
Because I still understand
In the lag and in the light,
I am the past that learned to fight.
