Self preservation,

Temptation.

Self isolation.

Murder flesh,

Try my best,

Is this retribution?

It's all relative,

Combat before victory.

Tear the teeth out of the lions,

Smell the rot of their defeat!

I can take the weight,

your burdens and your shame,

And throw them all away!

But my shoulders,

they still hold firm!

Bury the noises of the voices,

In the grave!

So I guess I'll start,

By just being honest.

It's a daunting task,

Putting pen to paper again.

But my voice is back!

Like where I'd rather be stabbed.

Cause a blow to my chest,

Would take my heart,

And my heart is all that I have!

And it's all that I am,

And it's all that Ive got.

No!

It's what's gotten me THIS far,

But a void with a voice says a lot!

So truthfully,

I'm still suffering.

S.u.f.f.e.r.i.n.g and it still equals pain!

Pressing forward black, not bright.

The voices seem the loudest,

in the midst of night!

There's still work to be done.

Darkness desires the Son.

There's still more dirt to be dug,

Depression, the spirit,

Oppression, the flesh.

Dig is square 6 feet deep just to rest.

Quiet these voices singing so softly to me, "You'll never be good enough to be free."

They're burying me!

The soil fills my lungs,

With my last breath;

"Please save me!"

And like a white flag,

I throw up my hands,

I am NOT the answer, a messenger.

Beaten,

Bruised, not broken!

Voice is screaming, "it is done!"
