Savor Every Bite

You could say that I’ve been around

I learned to swim instead of drown

I’ve heard a dead man’s song,

I’ve done the right and wrong,

I’ve seen a king lay down his crown

 swam the the coast of East and West

I’ve been an uninvited guest

I felt a woman’s touch,

I drank a bit too much

Earned every hair upon my chest

But where is your home?

Where do you long to lay

your weary head at night?

Your home

All you need is that familiar sight

As far as i can tell,

you’ll have it very well

If you savor every bite

You learn your lessons as you go

’Bout heaven up and Hell below

The better policy is honesty

And always kiss with your eyes closed

I rode the river to the end

I’ve been betrayed by a friend

I gave it all away for a dime a day

I’ll never fall for that again

Enjoy it while you can

It’s better bold than bland
