This early-'90s album finds the salsa master with some especially hot players in his 15-piece band. The musical interplay makes for some infectious joy in the grooves; you even hear D'León laugh as the horns strut forward in "Cristobal C." "Me Voy Pa'cali" sports a lively call-and-response chorus, while on the more thoughtful side, "Padre E Hijo" is a midtempo groove whose lyrics concern his son's attempts to be recognized as something other than the offspring of a musical celebrity.
