In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Kwaito was the first type of music I fell in love with. I wanted to grow to be like Mdu Masilela and the guys from TKZee. I would later discover Tupac and my interest in rap music would develop from there.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Legend – The Best of Bob Marley & The Wailers (2002 Edition) TKZee, Guz 2001 Zola, Mdlwembe Guz 2001 ushered kwaito into a new era. Mdlwembe intensified the gritty hip hop element in kwaito music. Legend is a timeless work of art with highly inspirational music.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “K'e Fagile (feat. Thato Saul)” K'e Fagile is the epitome of the of what I've been trying to achieve musicaly. You have 2 Pretoria rappers representing 2 eras, rapping on a very authentic yet unique South African production reminiscent of Kwaito.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To collaborate with more great artists in the African continent and keep redefining the sound. I'd like my music to score more movies and I'd like to perform at big festivals around the world.
