In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Brothers Chester and Zackary Fitzgerald founded Cassetique in Pontiac Michigan in 1989. After paying their dues in local bars and concert halls, their first recording sessions came five years later, funded by indie record label FilthFactor.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Work for their debut album was never completed as the brothers mysteriously disappeared in May 1994.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? After discovering the original reels in a storage unit, these sessions have been finished and remastered in the hopes that these songs; fragile, imperfect and pure, will provide comfort in a world of frightening impermanence.
