With her quirky vocals and offbeat pop sensibility, singer and songwriter CYN has managed to stand out from her peers.
• CYN was introduced to classic artists like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, and Carole King by her grandmother while growing up in the suburbs of Detroit.
• She began writing songs at age nine and took piano lessons as a preteen. She auditioned for American Idol only to be cut after the first round of auditions.
• CYN released her self-titled debut EP in 2014.
• In 2017, she became the first artist signed to Katy Perry’s Unsub Records after meeting DJ Skeet Skeet, who opened for the pop star’s 2011 California Dreams Tour. That same year, CYN released her first major-label single, “Together.”
• She released the EP Mood Swing in 2019, and in 2020, she appeared on the soundtracks of the films Birds of Prey and Promising Young Woman.
