DeLeon Richards, generally known simply as DeLeon, is a gospel singer who experienced remarkable success as a child star in the 1980s, though her recording career was bumpy and occasionally scandalous thereafter. Singing from an early age, she made her recording debut while still a preteen with 1984's DeLeon. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award, which made her the youngest recipient ever at the age of nine. She released several follow-ups during the '80s and '90s. ~ Jason Birchmeier
