In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
In true 80 style I used to record songs off Top of the Pops by placing a tape recorder next to the TV. All went well until the dog kicked off during China in Your Hand, woofing his way into my mix tape collection. I started to buy albums after that!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Jim Croce, You Don't Mess Around With Jim
Passenger, All the Little Lights (Deluxe Version)
Pet Shop Boys, Behaviour
I have broad musical taste and thousands of albums in my collection, but melody and lyrics are always my first focus. All three of these albums combine great tunes with great storytelling.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“The Monster Under my Bed”
I've always been fascinated by the idea that we learn to not see things as we grow up. We're told as kids "you imagined that" and eventually we believe it. But what if there really was a monster under the bed? What if it's still there...
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Playing gigs in Russia (before the current war) with two of my best friends. We were treated so well and I felt really appreciated by the audience. That's really stayed with me.
