Northern Irish producer and DJ Ejeca creates a tough, melodic, modern yet nostalgic blend of house, techno, and garage. Born in Belfast, he grew up on electronic music, began producing at the tender age of ten, and released his first music in 2012. "You," a track with fellow Ulster boys Bicep, launched his career and led to releases on labels like Needwant, Last Night on Earth, and 20:20 Vision. In 2014 he launched his own label Exploris, and in 2020 started the Trance Wax alias to release edits and remixes of classic trance and hard dance tracks he had made to play out in his DJ sets. The project became hugely popular, leading to two albums of original material. Trance eventually informed the Ejeca project, with 2020's hybrid "trouse" music single "Ekstac." He later released two mixtapes and two albums, 2021's Free From and 2024's Feel Good House. ~ John D. Buchanan
