Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is singing and clapping my hands to the song "Kawliga" by Hank Williams Sr in my car seat with my Dad at the wheel, picking me up from daycare. He would play this every time, and I would cry every time the song finished.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Guy Clark, Dublin Blues Hank Williams, Alone With His Guitar John Prine, John Prine For me, these three albums were pivotal as a singer and songwriter. The attention to the lyrics met with the song's delivery from the source was a valuable lesson and will never unlearn. I'm unsure who I would be as a creator had I not heard these.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Things to Come” This song is very special to me not only because of its success in the Americana genre but also because it is the only song to date that made me work so hard to bring it into existence. It's the only one I ever had to rewrite until it was perfect.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment to date is from the beginning of my career—in November 2008, to be more specific. At the end of that month, I got the opportunity to open for the late great George Jones in Houston, TX, at the Arena Theatre.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have more things to do, places to play, and music to put out, but at the top of my bucket list is playing Red Rocks. There has never been a more excellent venue!
