Blending laid-back hip-hop atmospheres and dreamy R&B songwriting, duo Offonoff debuted in 2016 with a series of relaxed singles. They brought their mellow sound into broader definition on their 2017 full-length Boy. Offonoff was formed in 2016 by DJ/producer 0Channel and vocalist Colde. The two both had ties with versatile collective Club Eskimo Crew, and shot off with their floating, often piano-driven R&B tracks but sometimes called on affiliates from the crew to lend guest vocals. Colde had also collaborated briefly with RM from BTS, but their work remained unreleased. Offonoff were signed to the YG Entertainment sub-label HIGHGRND and made their debut in September of 2016 with the woozy single "bath." From there they released second single "photograph" and followed in 2017 with the full-length Boy. The album peaked at 27 on the Gaon chart and had a minor hit with the infectious "Cigarette," featuring guest contributions from Tablo and MISO. ~ Fred Thomas
