Seth Troxler has been pushing dance music forward since before he was old enough to drive. Born in Kalamazoo, MI, in 1985, Troxler absorbed the sounds of house and hip-hop from hanging around the home studio where his stepfather recorded radio shows, and after moving to Detroit as a young teen, he began throwing parties and working in record stores. By 2011, when he cofounded the Visionquest label, he was already well known for a hedonistic blend of minimal techno and deep house that integrated influences from both Detroit and Berlin. Over the years, he has translated his signature style of late-night floor-fillers to recordings for Crosstown Rebels, Wolf + Lamb, and Hypercolour, along with his own imprints Play It Say It, Soft Touch, and Tuskegee, which he runs alongside The Martinez Brothers.
