Mumbai-based singer Stebin Ben has developed an affecting penchant for affable, relatable pop music and film songs with some of the Indian industry's leading artists. Born into a Malayali family, Ben had his mind set on a career as a singer right from his school days in Bhopal. Initially finding his artistic footing recreating popular songs such as “Mera Dil Bhi Kitna Pagal Hai” in 2018 (originally from the 1990s film Saajan) and R.D. Burman’s “Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein” (1974), Ben moved on to releasing original solo music with major labels.
Ben’s breakout songs “Thoda Thoda Pyaar” and “Baarish Ban Jaana: both arrived in 2022, drawing millions of streams thanks to his naturally soulful way with a love song. “Ek Tu Hi Toh Hai” then followed, cementing his status as a solo pop artist rather than a singer-for-hire. Ben’s go-to themes continue to revolve around love and heartbreak, as heard in songs such as “Dil Tujhpe Aa Gaya” with singer Payal Dev and “Sahiba” with Jasleen Royal.
