Temmora Levy has drawn from her experience as a contemporary R&B artist to become a high-profile talent coach, as seen on the reality television series Ms. T's Music Factory. In 2019, the year the show debuted, the singer and songwriter released her first recordings in a decade, and charted with the club track "Fire."
A Memphis native raised in foster homes, Temmora first performed at a middle school talent show and soon took her singing to a competitive level. In 2002, she independently released her debut album, Talk to Me!, executive produced by Arthur Levy, her husband and fellow songwriter. Four of its songs, including the single "Peel Me a Grape," were featured on the wider-distributed Any Other Girl in 2005. Howard Hewett appeared on two of its new tracks.
The next decade, Temmora and her daughter Miesha made their reality television debut on Party Mamas. Temmora then starred in Ms. T's Music Factory, a Lifetime channel series about Aromett Academy, her talent school for young performers. The first episode premiered in 2019, the year she also returned to recording with "The Only One" and "Fire," two singles featuring Miesha's Aromett-trained group, Karma, as background vocalists. The latter release hit Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart in July. ~ Andy Kellman
