Lowkey

Ambient piano music doesn’t have to be an entirely laidback affair. Sure, it can create the quiet backdrop to life’s contemplative moments, but it can also provide a gorgeously present listening experience, especially when mixed with gentle electronic experiments and minimalist neo-classical composition. This playlist is where all three convene to make the perfect low-key soundtrack. Our editors update this set regularly. If you hear something you like—whether from well-known masters of the form or more contemporary artists on the rise—add it to your library.
