"Ausgebombt,” from 1989's Agent Orange, is one of their staples, capturing Tom Angelripper's trademark terrifying scream and speeding basslines. “Tapping the Vein” is even more violent, pushing the axes into a guttural, death-metal zone. Sodom have also played a major role in shaping black metal; songs like “Nuclear Winter,” with filthy, blurry distortion, have clearly inspired many a Norwegian metalhead.
