The Gaither Homecoming is a Southern gospel institution. Founded in 1991 by singer and composer Bill Gaither, the combination concert series, record label, and production company stresses tradition. In addition to old-school hymns capable of evoking images of quaint, country churches, there are plenty of gymnastic harmonies and holy boogie designed to get fans out of the pews and into the aisles. While Gaither has worked with some of the genre's most trusted voices, including Lynda Randle and his own Gaither Vocal Band, he also keeps things fresh by cycling in younger talent like the infectious Singing Contractors and Nashville star Josh Turner.
