NASKA’s star quality comes from finding and fulfilling his true identity. Like many of his generation, Diego Caterbetti grew up on a pop-punk diet of Sum 41 and blink-182. Armed with the angst of those idols, he moved to Milan as a teen, crashing on sofas and working at a pizzeria while discovering his sound. Despite signing a record deal and releasing emo-tinged rap, he began drifting back towards his roots—fusing those sounds with a strong sense of melody on “California” and “Spezzami Il Cuore”—before realising his raucous, pop-punk dreams on his bombastic debut album REBEL and beyond.
