A fun karaoke outing led to a full-fledged pop career for Freya Lim, who was scouted while singing Sandy Lam's "Night's Too Dark". Fittingly, her rendition of the classic was eventually released as the first single off the Malaysian singer's debut, Freya. Lim, however, proved she's not living in anyone's shadow with the original number "Living Alone", a touching ballad that ended up becoming a more popular track than the Lam cover. Since then, the songstress has injected her music with sultry elements, making her an even bigger hit on Chinese airwaves.
