Few modern bands have as rich a tapestry of influences as Brit band Blur—appropriate for a group that has undergone such a wide range of styles over its career. Starting as an indie-dance group reminiscent of Madchester, Blur went on to borrow music hall-influence that recalled The Kinks, XTC, and Madness in their Britpop days to borrowing from Pavement and Can in their later, more Americentric period.
