I think I could lose my head

Stoned in bed overthinking again

Rise to the ceiling

There’s a shadow in my bed

Where you left

All the nights I wasted

Trying to stay faded

Can’t erase it

Can’t un-break it

Lately I’m fighting with my shadow

Taking swings at things I can’t control

I’ve been fighting with my shadow

It knows everywhere I go

nightfall, can you find me now?

I pushed back — now I’m on the ground

mirrored movements in the sunlight

call all my thoughts
