I use to think that I could do it all by myself

I had the thought that I was always on the top shelf.

I used to think that if I had my back against the wall that I should stay right there because I didn’t want nobodies help.

Yea I had a lot of foolish ways.

Yea I had myself in all astray.

Yea I had myself lost, tangled in the wrath, and would find myself in disarray.

But you always brought me to the truth, yea you aways brought me to the light

You always gave me joy, happiness, and love when I was dealing with the strife, (yes you did.)

You would always make it right,( yes you did) even though I would make it wrong,( yes I did)

Every time I was sick, weak and feeble to the world, God you would always make me strong

God, I know your plan is to make me stronger to make me wiser.

I was ignorant to all your teachings, (yes I was)

I didn’t want to read your scriptures (no I didn’t)

I didn’t want to believe you had it all planned out and you had a perfect picture (no I didnt)

I use to think I had it figured out (yea yea ), I use to think I knew the in and outs( used to think)

Use to think that I didn’t need any wisdom, and the knowledge and the teachings just to make it out.

But your grace is just affection, and your love is your reflection, but your love you have over this world is just another reoccurring resurrection (yes it is)

But your knowledge is direction( yes it is)

And your teachings are protections( yes it is)

But I never known perfect but I promise God I know that your wisdom is perfection

God, I know your plan is to make stronger to make me wiser.

For you already know the plans you have sought out for me

Plans of welfare, and not for evil but to give me a future and a hope

That when I call upon you and I pray to you, and I seek you with all my heart, that you will hear me!
